Little Man turned 6 !

The first day of the year is always a blessed day for me and my family. It is a day we decided to take our relationship to the greater height, anticipating the consequences it would flood. And precisely it is the day our Little Man arrived in our life with more hope, love and faith towards all. We are always grateful to God for such blessings throughout. Thank you God.

It is his 6th birthday and this year I have planned to do the puja only. Since I follow birthday rituals from my side it takes a longer time and great energy to perform puja. But the birthday boy had something else in his mindset, asked me to invite our relatives in Puja and few of his friends in the evening for birthday party. He had even requested his friends to stay little longer on the day. So we arranged things in one day, the day before Jan first. As he loves recycle, reuse and reduce, the lesson he has been receiving at his kindergarten schools and also at home, I made a simple 3D Dino, precisely T"-Rex" banner for this Dino fan using the bedsheet boards and colors. For the candles I used the reused Heinz tiny bottles and decorated with his art n craft stuffs and Dino stickers. He looked very happy doing all these till midnight. His excitement was not letting him sleep very soon instead kept saying, "I wish it is already the dawn so that evening come soon and so my friends."

Finally, the morning sunshine hits and here is what my LM's reaction on what he found the room is that he left it before sleeping. He was astonished seeing everything and excitingly hugged me and thanked for the first ever gift of the year. I know he is a very very grateful boy. He knows to appreciate things and that day he had this kind word "thank you" in every few minutes. Even the birthday cards which has become the ritual we do every year. Like previous years, we thought he would just read it and leave on the table saying thank you. But it's different this year. He read aloud every single words on the card and thanked us for everything we do for him. We forgot he is now a grown up boy as he says and we forgot he reads words or sentences and keep asking until he understands.

In the evening there is a small birthday party for his peers in the floor. It lasts just in 2 hours, from cake cutting to art, dance, sing and all. The little ones have school next day so had to make it short. At the end of the day, before going to bed, this LM of mine came to me and hugged me and thanked me from look of the room in the morning to candles decorated for evening, from his morning puja to the guests invited and from treats to his friends to the goodies for them.

Lastly, we thanked him for being a kind boy he is and wished him one more time and said good night. He has miles to go ahead with the beginning of a new day, a new year.

Celebrated Father's Day...!

We celebrate Father's Day twice a year, one on international Father's Day and another is on September as per Nepalese calendar. I follow the way my Mom used to perform for our Daddy dear. And my dear husband Mr. Daddy remembers to perform puja on Mother's Day also. It feels good exchanging culture.

Little boy sad be coz his name is not painted on my hand...

Had painted mehandi for Teez. My Little Man appreciated the artist auntie's work. He asked me to thank her on his behalf also. After few days he read his Dad's name on it. He asked to turn the back of the palm. Then he just looked upset. We got it but just tried to ignore. Just few seconds and we could hear the sobbing sound from his room. I went to check he was saying naughty Mama.... And sobbing. Later his Mr. Daddy explained, "we know that you are feeling sad because Mama had only my name painted". But if she paints Daddy's name then God bless our whole family with happiness, peace and prosperity." Then this LM got out of his bed and said, "Oh.... Then it's okay. Let's play the game." Then I took the picture of my mehandi.

Beach Picnic...!

As all children, my Little Man loves to play sand in beach. Almost every week he asks to go to the beach but we manage to take him once a month or sometimes one in 5,6 weeks. He enjoys playing sand under the hot sun, says, I love tanned skin and doesn't care even if his skin turned into dark brown. We can see and feel his contentment while playing sand though he is all alone to play. Sometimes Mr. Daddy goes to play with him and help him make sand castles. When the Dad-Son playing and I usually take a walk here and there. I love my peaceful walking and they love their sand playing. And today I was coming back from my walk and LM ran towards me asked to close my eyes, "there is a surprise for you Mama. Please close your eyes". I wondered what could it be. Then I walked where he took me. There.... you can open your eyes now..... and SURPRISE..... Here is a tunnel we built Mama. He was very excited to show what they had built. I said, "wow.... that's so interesting and it is very nice tunnel. Can I pass into it.... we all laughed.

Merry Christmas to all...!

Last time my longest absence was for two months and was so surprised. And this time its six months almost. How could one be away from own wall for such a long time. Have no such routine life to be busy with yet cudn't sign in here. Well today also I wouldn't have appear here if its not for my boy, MJ. He asked me to call him with his full name and when I asked him to address me with mine then he dropped the idea with big laugh. His sweet voice scribbled..... "its too long to call Mama".
Actually its not why am here today. I am here because I have to say something. Time really flies. My MJ will be 5-year-old on the very first day of 2014. He has grown big and he is starting to speak like a big boy too. Sometimes both his parents keep looking at each other for his generous thoughts, for his improving vocab and at the same time he surprises us with unexpected tantrums he shoots at times.
Yesterday he asked me, "Mama why do dogs and cats have Licking Bath?" And am surprised how does he know about this. The most surprising one this week was when we were preparing for his small treat on Christmas.
MJ: Mama I want to gift Santa a Red T-Shirt when he arrives to place me gifts.
Mom: Oh you want to gift red tee to Santa but why?
MJ: Because last year he burrowed it from my Dad.
Mom: How do you know that?
MJ: I saw him on pictures wearing my Dad's Tee.
I smiled at him and patted him for his generous thinking. And start speaking to my own self someone has truly said kids are angels.
Then placed few gifts for MJ on Christmas Eve after he went to bed. MJ helped us on decoration. This year had collected few stuffs that we would need a week before but its hard to keep away from little spy's eyes. On the Christmas morning Md heard his son woke up and carried him off the bed to the Christmas tree where there are few gifts for him. This year we bought a small piano for boy who was excited and started playing random tunes of his own.

Junior's first day out without Mom and Dad...!

As holidays begins, the most busiest persons are Moms, precisely stay-home moms. I am one of them. Every next day Junior asks me what are we going to do today or where are we going to. For last 15 days could take him here and there for 5,6 times and he enjoyed everything. The smoky air took one week for nothing from our little poor kids, they stayed home helpless and hopeless. On the last week Junior already had plan with his one of the favourite aunties, Bina auntie. He went for some fair at Expo. It was the first time he went out with aunties and friends without mom and dad. We were too anxious what he would do but to our surprise our Junior enjoyed the day to the fullest (despite of his tantrums). I guess after seeing the pictures he did the things he always loves to. Thank you Bina Auntie and gang.

Mother's Day @Junior's school....!

There was an invitation almost two weeks before Mother's Day. My Junior kept asking me if am coming to his school every next day ever since the invitation notice. He was very excited. Someday he sings Chinese and says this song is for you Mama. But before the day it was just a plain Chinese conversation for me... Just a tiny joke on how MJ sang it. One day he came up with colors on the back of his school uniform. Before I could ask anything about it, he already started one of his friends in the class has spilled the color while making crafts for you. Now his second surprise also revealed... poor innocent boy. Had a very tight schedule whole week and we could go for art and craft shopping only a day before. He collected too many things from Spotlight but I chose only few necessary deco items. Finally the day arrived and we got our children singing both English and Chinese songs dedicated to us. All the Moms were so so delighted to see our lovely kiddos doing things for us. Later we were asked for a mom-child project to complete a photo frame kiddos had already started and playing with colors and papers. REally had great fun on the day. Here are some glimpses of the day.
