Never too early to learn...!
Bringing home our loved one..!
Big Day...!
Jan-1-09 at 9:15 hours in the morning we are again in the labour suite with Dr. Steven, Chief of Delivery Unit. We are discussing on my zero progress of labour though there are few contraction again and again but its irregular. It is really getting tideous, we have been waiting for two consecutive days and nights. So we are now upto make a strong decision of bringing the baby out on his given date. Doc is also okay with that though he agreed hesitantly. He explained on aftermaths of going for CS for which we are already prepared. As per his suggestion I am undergone two more session of graphic observation of my contraction. He finds same so he finally signed for the CS.
At 17 hours, I am ready for the procedure. Nurse takes me to the OT. At the main entrance one of the staffs from OT takes all the details of tests from the ward. She puts an OT dress on me and takes the stretcher towards the procedure table. Here am now in the expert hands of Dr. Wendy as anesthetist with her assistants and the surgical team. After anesthesia, am under procedure. I could only hear the bubbling sounds and two medical personnels are talking to me. Am so excited to see the new one. After few minutes, I hear Dr. Wendy's voice, "Ruma your baby is out at 17:37 hours, he weighs 3765 gm." "Can I see him?", was my reply and in a few minutes a nurse brought him to me. I could only kiss him while I desire to take him in my hands. Now she takes him to meet his Dad who is waiting outside the OT room. One of the staff tells me everything goes smooth and well and in a couple of minutes they will send me to ward. But before leaving I want to thank the surgeon operated me. Upon my request there I see a man in OT outfit with his mask and cap. I thanked me from the core of my heart. He answered, "Congratulations and happy anniversary." I am quite surprised and I asked him to remove his cap and mask. There he is... none other than Dr. Steven himself. We told him that my due date given by Dr. Goh coincides our Love Anniversary. After that a nurse took me out to postoperative ward. In half an hour when they are satisfied with my progress they send me to the ward. Here is my husband waiting to see his wifeeee. There I feel the sweetest, loveliest and warmest caress on my head with a husky whisper blowing in my left ear, "Love you...!"
The biggest and the greatest day for the three of us (including our newly born son, Sambhavya).
