Never too early to learn...!

Babies are always ready to learn from the time of their birth. They are born to learn. As it says, a ray of hope... when a child is born. I would say a golden ray of hope for every parent to see his child learning earlier. Crying and the suckling milk are their born abilities. Only few weeks passby sleeping and they start to show their amazing charactersitic of learning. Children are born as a patch of clay which needs to shape perfectly by their parents. The level of learning depends on the level of their perception and on how the respective parents handle deal with this. Besides things like clapping, blinking and few more, they are always in get-set-go position to learn more in an advanced way. Generally we allow our children to learn only at the age of 3 or 4. However our kids are fast learners than we think they are.

I realized Sambhavya's willingness to learn when he was 8-month-old. Like other babies my boy also loves to listen and watch nursery rhymes/songs. His first favorite one is "row row row your boat...." and I love the way he moves his head right and left in the rhythm. Likewise, there are many such rhymes he loves. He claps his hands from the age of 7-month-old. Smiles and shows his teeth upon asking. He says baba (dad), momma(y), dada (brother) words which are of same patterns and easy to pronounce. He acts as if he understands what we say and ask him to do, pretends as if he wants to get into the depth of what we say. However utters only "unnn...." or "ummm..." sounds in reply when we talk to him. Its entertaining as well as exciting for us to see our baby's growing enthusiasm of learning.

I start searching for educating kids at early age. I made few flashcards on my own in a word document and start teaching my boy. Surprisingly, he understands few words (head, nose, and eye) at the beginning, he touches these parts seeing them on cards. The first word he read is "baby" whether its caps or small letter. He reads it as "bee-bee". OMG... cudn't believe it he reads it at the age of 14-month. It inspired me alot and I keep surfing internet for more techniques to teach babies at early age. I found myriads of sites and posts on early education. Few are quite practicable and easy to start at home without any high-fi technologies.

Today my baby is 20-month-old and he reads most of the alphabets. He recognizes few animals and few animal sounds. He understands things when I talk to him. He helps me in some ways. Though he is at the age of two he is amazing in many ways.

now its numbers' turn
